To address food retail resiliency for local communities in the region, the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council has created a tool to highlight compounding relationships of equity, chronic stressors, and shocks with the current food accessibility situation in Tampa Bay. This project compiles data and information to a) support the understanding of community access and availability of healthy foods, and b) increase understanding of potential risks associated with hurricanes.
The products of this project will aid in the new initiative called Resilience and Energy Assessment of Communities and Housing (REACH), which integrates planning for resilience, neighborhood revitalization, and improving equity.
