The Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council is hosting a meeting with the Hillsborough MPO to bring together resilience, planning and housing professionals, for an information sharing meeting to discuss the emerging climate risks that Community Redevelopment Areas in the region are facing.
At the meeting, attendees will learn new information about storm surge, flooding and sea level rise projections. We’ll discuss the impacts and consequences of these hazards to our residents and their homes. We’ll talk about housing stock, age and briefly mobile home parks. We’ll also discuss current plans and policies, and, define additional data of information that is needed for each CRA. We will also look for new opportunities for resilient post-disaster redevelopment planning.
This project is part of a DEP Peril of Flood grant.
The meeting will be held at the Hillsborough County Center in downtown Tampa at 601 E. Kennedy Blvd, in the Plan Hillsborough Room on the 18th floor.
Parking is in the garage next door.
