Benefits of Attending
If your city/county has already been certified via the STAR Communities pathway, this workshop will help you understand what is expected as you move forward on your performance under v4.1 which is a combination of performance outcomes (LEED) and strategies (STAR). The categories include: Natural Systems and Ecology, Transportation and Land Use, Water Efficiency, Energy and GHG Emissions, Materials and Resources, Quality of Life, Innovation and Regional Priority. Resiliency planning is required in the 4.1 version.
If you are considering LEED for Cities and Communities, you’ll learn about their new, expanded certification program for making cities and communities more equitable, sustainable and resilient with local and regional examples.
Your participation and discussion will be helpful as we review resilience categories and metrics. The LEED team is also interested in exploring our interest in forming a cohort in the region.
